Our Story

“Good coffee, doing good, where and when you need it.”

Can we be honest?   The real reason we started the coffee truck is because we are coffee snobs.  Okay, that’s not the entire reason.  We (Bruce and Keri) moved to the St. Louis area from Alaska in 2006, and there were only a few specialty coffee shops around then.  No shade to the local coffee scene, but for people who love coffee there just wasn’t enough of the good stuff readily available.

When food trucks started to pop-up near my (Keri’s) work, an idea took root then bloomed into an actual business plan.  What about a COFFEE truck?!

Our business plan became a mission when we realized we could combine our love for coffee with our love for helping others.  We decided to donate all the tips we receive, and a portion of sales to selected charities.  We imagined making people happy by bringing good coffee to them, making their day better, and watching them pass that good forward.

Great idea, cool plan, but we needed some wheels.  Insert vintage van from Europe here.  Long story short, we found a British company that refurbs French Citroen HY vans into food trucks, and just had to have one!

When our ’69 HY Citroen “baby” arrived stateside, there was no transport available so we made a ‘quick trip’ to Baltimore harbor to trailer her home.  I cried when I saw our little blue van, because we had made all the choices and decisions on faith, and across an ocean. (And because I hadn’t driven a stick shift in years!)

We christened the van ‘Genevieve’, after the patron Saint of Paris, known for her charity, bravery, and impactful prayer.  Recently, Genevieve got an engine transplant with ’99 VW Pasaat Turbo, that has expanded her territory and speed!

In 2021 we moved to Spokane, WA to be close to the mountains again. In the Northwest coffee is a way of life, so we chose a local roaster (Indaba Coffee) who helps Genevieve deliver #goodcoffeedoinggood. People like her so much that we're adding to the family.  Our second truck "Beatrice" will get her makeover soon, bringing coffee and other joyful things.
